The ever-important "first" post

I've been thinking about blogging for a long while, and now seems the best time to actually give this venture a try. Toying with this whole blogging business will help me assess if and to what extent I would like to incorporate blogging into the composition classes I teach. And I think that this semester--the one in which I am reading for comprehensive exams--presents no better time to get some of the ideas swirling around my head down in a reasonable, revistable space. So, here's to nothing! And perhaps, here's to something quite exciting.
